Citizen Lawyer Class of 2023: Stanley Abrams

Stanley “Stan” Abrams of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin in Durham devotes his time to countless civic, religious and philanthropic causes to improve the lives of individuals in his community and across the state. Prior to the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, Stan worked as a Pitt County Staff Attorney and served several years as Assistant Attorney General for the Transportation Section of the NC Department of Justice. Pivoting in his career, Stan joined the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin to represent property owners and citizens impacted by eminent domain laws. He is an active and influential member of his church in Wilson, and he teaches and lectures at North Carolina Wesleyan University and Wilson Community College. He has served on numerous boards of non-profits and currently sits on the board of the Durham Rescue Mission.
