Law Student Representative: Mariah Webb

Mariah Webb headshot As a 2024-25 NCBA law student representative, Mariah Webb believes networking resources that the NCBA provides, such as the grab-a-coffee program, are invaluable to law students, especially first-generation law students. Mariah decided to get involved with the NCBA so she could help other first-generation law students find and take advantage of these resources.

After working in entertainment for ten years, Mariah was ready for a change. Mariah was drawn to the law because she found the subject matter interesting and the work rewarding. Mariah is currently interested in practicing civil litigation.

Figure out your learning style. It may not include the same things that worked for you in undergrad. People are not lying to you when they say law school is nothing like undergrad. When I started my first semester of 1L, I’d never made a flowchart in my life. Now they are my lifeline. Talk to upperclassmen about outlining and study methods that work for them, and take some time experimenting with those different approaches.

Students attending ABA-accredited law schools or provisionally accredited law schools are eligible for complimentary membership in the NCBA Law Student Division. Interested in becoming a member of the Division? Learn more about this free membership.
