CLE Scholarship Program
The Section Council annually considers and adopts as part of its budget an allowance for scholarships to be awarded to Members of the Section. A Scholarship Committee (typically comprised of at least one Member of the Section Council, a Member of the Section Membership Committee, and a Member of the Section CLE Committee) selects scholarship recipients.
The purpose of awarding the scholarships is to facilitate participation and attendance at valuable CLE programs and meetings for members of the Section who otherwise may not be able to attend such events due to financial or other constraints. Our Section is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion and actively providing opportunities for professional development and networking to all members of the Section, inclusive of minority and historically marginalized individuals and groups.
What do the Scholarships cover?
The Section is pleased to award a limited number of scholarships to the 47th Annual Estate Planning & Fiduciary Law Program, to be held from July 23 – July 25 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, 2 Shipwatch Road, Kiawah Island, SC 29455.
Scholarships may be awarded to pay the cost of tuition for In-Person Live or Live Webcast CLE programs. In-Person Live scholarships will also provide three nights lodging in a one-bedroom villa and a travel reimbursement stipend. If scholarship recipients have already registered for the CLE program, the payment will be refunded. If scholarship recipients have already secured lodging, they will be reimbursed up to the cost of the one-bedroom villa that is offered through the scholarship. More specific details will be provided to scholarship recipients.
