The Health Law Section addresses legal issues related to health care, including medical malpractice, provider regulation and health insurance. It offers an excellent opportunity to network with fellow health care attorneys. The section is highly regarded for its involvement with and promotion of North Carolina’s Safe Haven Law for infant abandonment and has been committed to educating the public about the law since its inception. It also sponsors CLE programs and helps mold the NCBA legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.

Members receive discounted CLE opportunities, access to a members-only online community forum and invitations to networking socials, panel discussions and Lunch & Learns. The section also offers practice-specific blogs, legislative and policy updates, ethics guidance and opportunities to engage in pro bono work, providing meaningful ways to grow professionally while supporting the broader legal community.
